Recent news

It's been a semi-eventful few weeks, and my mom pointed out that I haven't posted in awhile, so here I am! Here's what's new:

Caleb -

Is now walking! Not as steadily or as fast as his sister...but still doing great! He has his arms up in the air and goes full speed until he crashes. He can turn now without falling, but he still looks like a drunkin' sailor - it's very entertaining! He is becoming more and more our little musician. Since he was very samll he has always responded to music as soon as he hears it. He loves any toy that has music, and he has sung himself to sleep every day and night for as long as I can remember. He now really dances like a mad man when he hears a beat! It can be a noisy restaurant, but that boy can hear the music!! He starts bobbing his little head, and swinging his chubby arms...it is the cutest thing! we have had court for him for 2 weeks in a row, and FINALLY today they terminated his moms parental rights and OFFICIALLY RELEASED HIM FOR ADOPTION! Woo Hoo!! So now if his mother appeals the decision (which I'm sure that she will, even thought she hasn't been to any of the court dates) it will be about 6 more months and then he'll be a Gurganious! We are so excited!

Paige & Nolan -

Paige is 15 months going on 15 years old! The child has never really acted like a baby, but as she gets older, it's like I have a little teenager on my hands! She has a mind all her own and she will let you hear it. She is walking and running like a pro and talking so much! She clearly says "no that mine" (which she learned from her brother, of course!), "hi brother/gary/dog/dada/mama", and many new things every day. She is so smart, and such a joy.

Nolan started his first day of pre-school yesterday at Pass Christian right near our house. He was so excited to go and have his "pack-pack". He didn't act scared at all, walked right to his teacher to tell her Hi and gave her a hug. Then he said "Bye mom" and he was off and playing. He really needs a few days to be with kids his age, rather than around just the babies. H is going 2 days a week for 4 hours, which is perfect since he will be in pre school for 3 years before kindergarten, so he should be good to go by then!

Their mother had her first visit in 4 1/2 months today, and their father showed up as well. He hasn't seen them in over a year. It was so uncomfortable for me, and I'm sure for the kids too, but hopefully it will all be over soon. They have court at the end of the month and our attorney said that he is sure they will be terminating her services so that they can only visit once a month. I think they'll give up for good at that point (here's hoping!).

Anyways, enough chatting from me! Here's Nolans 1st day picture and Caleb's first haircut.
